THE SLEEP ODYSSEY- A JOURNEY INTO DEEP SLEEP
Sit down or lie down comfortably and we will begin
Start with the breath. Inhale or exhale comfortably.
Ideally breath through your nose but if for any reason this is difficult, breath in whichever way you find comfortable.
Draw your conscious mind to the action of breath, the blessed journey of breath.
In and out and again in and out.
Allow your body to be drawn into the action of breath.
As you focus upon breath relax your entire body.
Relax your entire body from head to toe
and from toe to head.
IMAGINE
Imagine the ocean; the vast majestic ocean.
Imagine the waves coming in and going back out.
In to shore stroking caressing the shore lovingly and then back out to the ocean.
Imagine being one with the ocean. Visualize being one with the eaves.
You are one with the waves.
You are the waves.
Draw your conscious mind to the action of breath, the blessed journey of breath.
In and out and again in and out. Allow your body to be drawn into the action of breath.
As you focus upon breath relax your entire body.
Relax your entire body. From head to toe and from toe to head
FEEL
Feel one with the universe.
Feel the warm rays of sunshine.
Notice as an observer notices; the gentle breeze.
Blowing this way and that.
See the clear blue skies.
Listen to the wind all around you.
Imagine the texture of the grains of sand which line the shores. Are the sands course or finely textured. Simply notice.
Draw your conscious mind to the action of breath, the blessed journey of breath.
In and out and again in and out. Allow your body to be drawn into the action of breath.
As you focus upon breath relax your entire body.
Relax your entire body. From head to toe and from toe to head
BECOME
Become the waves in the ocean
Or perhaps
Be the gentle breeze blowing playfully across the waves
Or perhaps be the swaying tea trees lining the sand dunes and waving gently this way and that
You can be whoever you choose to be
You are one with the universe.
Yes you can be whoever you choose to be
Say to yourself
I can be
I can be whoever I CHOOSE to be
